They offer a free telephone service, 24 hours a day 7 days a week, that: 

• is staffed by registered nurses 
• gives confidential and reliable advice about medical problems, and where you can get help
• provides information about local health services, including general practitioners (GPs or family doctors) and hospitals
• gives general health information.
