Te Papa Tongarewa
Te Papa is New Zealand’s national museum, renowned for being bicultural, scholarly, innovative, and fun.
Their collections span five areas:
- art
- history
- Pacific
- Māori
- natural environment.
They have interactive exhibitions, dynamic events and education programmes. Their collections are short term, long term or permanent.
Most of the museum is free, only some short term exhibitions have entry fees.
They also have commercial enterprises, including a publishing division, conference and function operations, cafes, a car park and retail stores.
