They consider and determine the annual remuneration and allowances of:

• Members of Parliament
• the Judiciary
• specified statutory officers and appointees to Independent Crown Entity boards
• members of local authorities and community boards.

They receive administrative support from the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment.
